![]() ![]() ![]() I loved how so many things linked together and added up to the main story. So much stuff kept happening! I was amazed at the plot-line and magnitude of this story. The writing was once again a bit slow but all the details and characters who appeared insignificant at first-all added to the bigger picture and provided conclusions for the plots from the first book. ![]() The horror of the depravities one human could subject to another was atrocious. ![]() My God, some of the scenes were devastating and guttered me. And some, in their denial and weakness, enabled the worst of the worst to strive. There was a faction who showed the worst of humanity-greedy and self-serving, using and torturing others to get what they wanted. Some rose to the occasion, showed a bravery and strength of character as they fought back and did their best to save others. The author took us through the apocalypse and humanity’s reaction to it. With the way Justin Cronin wrote the story, I didn’t have any trouble following it. The story shifts between two different time periods-the past when the virals first escaped and the future, after the world died. I was in the grip of The Passage Trilogy and I was obsessed with knowing what happened next in the story, especially with that title which indicated that this second book in the trilogy was focused on the twelve original virals. Rating: 4/5 □□□□ Genre: Horror, Post Apocalyptic Review:Īfter I finished The Passage, I dived straight into The Twelve. ![]()
